Shadow Report on the Implementation of the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence in North Macedonia
This report was prepared by the representatives of the Gender Equality Platform and included 9 monitors from 8 member organizations (Reactor, Coalition Margins, HERA, National Network to end Violence against Women and Domestic Violence, Organization of Women of Sveti Nikole, Tiiiit! Inc., HOPS, and Stella Network) who gathered the necessary data for the report. The final text of the report was compiled by the expert Biljana Kotevska. The report was prepared under the project Building CSOs capacities to produce GREVIO shadow report, financed by UN Women, that the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights was implementing in the period from August 2020 to September 2021. The project activities also included capacity building of CSO representatives in order to support the coordination of the monitoring of the implementation of the IC and strengthen the capacity of the CSOs to produce a joint GREVIO shadow. This report will serve as a basis for the final shadow report that the Gender Equality Platform will prepare and submit to the GREVIO Committee in 2022, in line with the state report deadline.
