The first conviction for hate speech based on sexual orientation

In 2024, significant progress was observed in the institutional and judicial response to hate crimes and
discrimination based on sexual orientation. Through case monitoring, analysis of court practice, and ongoing cooperation between the prosecution offices and civil society, key trends, challenges, and recommendations were identified for the further improvement of the human rights protection system.
