Gevgelija<\/p>\n

Available facilities and conditions<\/p>\n

The number of refugees in the Transit Camp Vinojug oscillated from 122 to 129 until the end of the week, after a seven-member family was held in the camp because of the health of one of the children in the family.<\/p>\n

There are no significant changes in the available facilities in the camp.<\/p>\n

Institutional treatment<\/p>\n

In the course of the week, on two occasions, groups of refugees caught down illegal roads were brought to the camp. On 04.10.2016, a group of 19 refugees originating from various countries (Pakistan, Syria and Iraq) was brought to the camp. After they were provided with medical and humanitarian aid, they were transported to Greek territory. On 09.10.2016, military trucks brought 45 refugees originating from Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq. The Red Cross provided them with medical and humanitarian aid. Most of the refugees from this group were transported to Greek territory, apart from a seven-member family, spouses with five children, one of whom was a baby born 24 days ago. Due to the jaundice that the baby had, the family will stay in the camp until the baby’s health improves.<\/p>\n

Kumanovo<\/p>\n

Available facilities and conditions<\/p>\n

The number of refugees in the camp amounts to about 60, without significant changes.<\/p>\n

The situation in the camp is relatively peaceful, mainly due to the depression taking over the refugees and the poor weather, which is why they spend most of their days inside their containers.<\/p>\n

With the decline in temperatures, a lack of warm clothes for the refugees has been observed.<\/p>\n

Institutional treatment<\/p>\n

On 04.10.2016, refugees were found near the camp gate, but were not allowed to enter the camp by the police officers. Their only request was to be given some food. Upon the insistence of an observer from the Helsinki Committee, they were provided with food by the Red Cross, whereby the police informed that were going to be transported to Gevgelija and the Greek border.<\/p>\n

The situation in the shelter centers in the Republic of Macedonia<\/p>\n

The number of refugees in the shelter centers in the Republic of Macedonia is not available.<\/p>\n

Irregular migration<\/p>\n

In the course of this period, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has not registered any incidents or criminal-legal events related to refugees and refugee-smuggling.<\/p>\n
