The Helsinki Committee for Human Rights <\/span>– Skopje<\/span>, in partnership with LGBTQ+ Victory Institute and <\/span>the Coalition <\/span>Margins<\/span>, invites you to apply for the<\/span> School for LGBTIQ+ Leadership <\/span><\/b>– a unique opportunity to develop your leadership skills and actively contribute to the advancement of <\/span>the LGBTIQ+ <\/span>movement in North Macedonia.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>About <\/span><\/b>the School<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We are looking for 15 motivated LGBTIQ+ leaders, aged 18-30, from all over North Macedonia to join this transformative program. During <\/span>the school <\/span>, participants <\/span>will have the opportunity to <\/span>develop leadership <\/span>skills <\/span>through four interactive modules. <\/span>The modules <\/span>are designed to provide deep dives into key topics that will equip emerging leaders with the tools they need to make a meaningful impact <\/span>in their environment <\/span>. Participants will explore <\/span>the multifaceted <\/span>issues of sexual orientation <\/span>and <\/span>gender identity <\/span>\/ <\/span>gender expression <\/span>, <\/span>gaining a stronger understanding of the challenges facing the LGBTIQ+ community.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The program<\/span> will offer insight into how state structures function and how to effectively advocate for changes in those systems. Participants will learn the art of campaigning and public speaking, skills necessary to change public perception and advance rights. In addition, they will gain vital knowledge about maintaining safety while organizing <\/span>for change<\/span>, encouraging them to lead movements with <\/span>greater confidence<\/span>. Finally, the training will focus on electoral processes, preparing participants to engage in political systems and build pathways for <\/span>political representation <\/span>of LGBTIQ+ <\/span>people <\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is <\/span>a rare <\/span>opportunity to network <\/span>and <\/span>connect with other generations <\/span>of <\/span>LGBTIQ+ leaders, fostering long-term collaboration and supporting the continuity of the movement’s efforts.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Structure of the program<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Each module will be spread over two days, with 6 <\/span>working hours <\/span>per day. The training will be held in <\/span>the socio -cultural center Committee <\/span><\/b>in Skopje. The terms are:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
