The Committee will continue to advocate for professionalization of the security services, enhanced oversight of their work and improving their sensibility in dealing with vulnerable groups of citizens.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Closed institutions and torture, inhuman and degrading treatment and punishment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Helsinki Committee monitors the situation in closed institutions and other places in which the freedom of movement is restricted or revoked, where citizens are placed in the most vulnerable position, with a risk of violations of their rights guaranteed with national and international human rights standards.
